Product Summary
Doebritz Sanitary Rotary Valves are precision-engineered for metering, dosing, and airlocking powdery, granular, and flaky materials in hygienic and hazardous environments. Capacities range from 0.5 to 80 m³/h with differential pressures up to 1.5 bar. Fully ATEX certified for dust explosion zones (20/21/22), these valves feature CNC-machined 316L stainless steel housings and leak-tight rotor clearances down to 0.10 mm. Ideal for food contact, pharmaceutical API transfer, and dairy powder processes, every unit supports CIP/SIP protocols and full material traceability.
Why Source Doebritz Sanitary Rotary Valves
- Superior Hygiene & Compliance: All product-contact surfaces are 316L stainless steel with Ra ≤ 0.8 µm finish, FDA 21 CFR & EC 1935/2004 compliant.
- Minimal Air Leakage & Pressure Stability: Precision-machined rotors and housing bores achieve leakage rates below 0.02 m³/h at 1 bar differential, ensuring high efficiency in pneumatic conveying.
- Explosion Protection Ready: ATEX II 2D c T130°C certified as standard; also available with anti-static rotor tips and flame arrestor flanges.
- Long Service Life in Abrasive Conditions: Hard-chrome plated bore (optional tungsten carbide coating) and outboard bearings eliminate seal contamination, delivering >30,000 hours MTBF.
- OEM Supply Chain Advantages: Global OEM supplier to top system integrators – rapid 25-day lead time, 24-month warranty, and lifetime technical support.

Housing & Rotor Engineering
The Doebritz Sanitary Rotary Valve begins with a one-piece cast 316L stainless steel housing, fully electropolished and free of crevices. All internal radii are designed to prevent product accumulation and simplify visual inspection. The open-ended 10-vane rotor reduces product degradation and provides gentle handling at speeds from 10 to 45 rpm. CNC-machined rotor tips maintain a consistent clearance of 0.10–0.15 mm across the entire pressure range. For extreme abrasion, we apply a hard-chrome plated bore or optional tungsten carbide coating. Externally mounted heavy-duty SKF bearings with four-ring PTFE shaft seals guarantee zero lubricant migration into the product zone, and the seal housing can be purged with inert gas for strict containment.

Heavy-Duty Application Scenarios
Pneumatic Conveying Systems
In dilute or dense phase pneumatic conveying, Doebritz SRV valves serve as reliable airlocks between receivers and blow tanks. The minimal leakage design reduces air loss by up to 40% compared to conventional valves, directly cutting operational energy costs. ATEX-certified versions are mandatory for combustible dusts such as lactose, starch, or fine chemicals.
Silo Discharging & Weigh Batch Feeding
When discharging flour, sugar, or plastic pellets from storage silos, the Doebritz sanitary rotary valve provides consistent volumetric fill with ≤ +/-2% repeatability. The free-flow cross-section and adjustable rotor speed allow precise metering into downstream weigh hoppers or mixers without bridging or flooding.
Dust Filter & Cyclone Underbin
As a dust collector discharge valve, the Doebritz unit seals against negative pressure while continuously removing collected dust. The polished stainless steel surface prevents sticky material build-up, and the quick-clean end plate design enables rapid inspection without fully disassembling the valve from the ductwork.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q1: What is the standard lead time for a Doebritz Sanitary Rotary Valve?
- A: For standard sizes (DN150 to DN300) with 316L housing and PTFE seals, lead time is 20-25 working days. Expedited 10-day service is available for an additional charge. All valves are assembled and tested in our ISO 9001:2025 certified facility.
- Q2: Do you support non-standard flanges like Tri-Clamp or DIN 11851?
- A: Yes. In addition to ANSI 150# and DIN PN10, we custom-machine Tri-Clamp (ISO 2852), DIN 11851 (milk pipe thread), and RJT fittings. Please provide your flange drawing for a no-cost feasibility check.
- Q3: Are Doebritz sanitary valves ATEX certified for Zone 0/20?
- A: Standard ATEX certification covers Zone 20 (continuous dust), 21, and 22. For gas/vapor Zone 0/1, we offer optional conductive vanes and earthing kits. Full EC-type examination certificate (EPS 23 ATEX 456 X) is supplied with every valve.
- Q4: What is the maximum operating temperature for CIP/SIP?
- A: With standard PTFE seals + Viton gaskets, continuous operation up to 150°C (302°F) and intermittent CIP at 180°C (356°F) for 30 minutes. For higher temperatures (up to 250°C), please select our high-temperature packing configuration with Kalrez seals.
- Q5: Can you supply a complete sealing kit and rotor for my existing non-Doebritz valve?
- A: While we recommend full valve replacement for guaranteed performance, we do supply retrofittable rotors and seal kits for many European and Asian sanitary valve brands after dimensional verification. Please send your current valve drawing for cross-reference.
